Andrew Barton, MPAS, PA-C graduated summa cum laude from Stetson University in DeLand Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Biology where he studied cancer biology, genetics, and developmental biology. He graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies; having rotated in surgical, intensive care, and internal medicine services. He is a professional member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), and the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (NCAPA).
Andrew has been an EMT and a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Clinic of West Volusia where he provided medical services to rural and underserved patients. He brings a stalwart attitude and passion for personalized patient care to our team, working with Dr. Guirgues in neck and spine surgery.
Andrew and his wife, Rafaella, enjoy spending time together on the water paddle boarding, sailing, and diving along the Crystal Coast. When they aren’t on the water, they enjoy growing a variety of peppers and finding new recipes to try them in.
